Emaar Mushrif Heights reaches listing quota despite online glitch |
|
DUBAI - The web page handling the online registration for prospective investors in Mushrif Heights, an integrated-community project by Emaar PropertiesEmaar Properties
to be launched on Saturday, suffered systems error on Wednesday but the listing quota was reached.
The registration page formally opened at 1.42pm, instead of 10am, and closed at 2.15pm after having functioned for two minutes at 12.40pm, said a call centre agent at EmaarEmaar
.
The agent added that the quota has been reached despite some technical problems, as there were about 350 registrants for the sale of 250 units of Sidra townhouses at Mushrif Heights, a Dh12 billion project featuring facilities for sustainable development.
"Due to technical issues faced by EmaarEmaar
, the registration page for Mushrif Heights was temporarily out of order earlier today," a company spokesperson said in an emailed statement.
The call centre agent said the registration page was opening for some customers but not for the others. Another agent said there was information from the main office that the web page could already be accessed, but it failed at least twice in the morning.
"The problem was resolved immediately by EmaarEmaar
's IT Department," the spokesperson said. "The customer registration quota has been reached and registration is now closed."
In a statement posted on its web site, EmaarEmaar
, the biggest publicly traded real-estate developer in the Middle East and Africa, said the selling for registered customers is on August 23, 9am to 6pm, at Asmaran Sales Centre in Dubai and at EmaarEmaar
's Abu Dhabi Sales Centre.
The Saturday sale in Dubai is for registered customers only while that in Abu Dhabi is on a first-come-first-served basis and open only to Abu Dhabi residents. The project is near Dubai's Al Awir area and Mushrif Park.
Last month EmaarEmaar
also opened an online registration for the sale of its Warsan Estate, a 3.4-million sq ft development featuring 500 Mediterranean-style family townhouses near Dubai's Emirates Road and Mushrif Park.
