ABU DHABI - The Traffic Engineering and Road Safety Department of Abu Dhabi Police has been working in coordination with the Abu Dhabi MunicipalityAbu Dhabi MunicipalityLoading... to sort out the parking lots problem in the capital.

Some of the steps initiated towards this end include provision of parking in the newly- constructed buildings and establishments so they accommodate as many cars as possible.

Captain Hussain Ahmed Al Harthi, Chief of the Traffic Engineering and Road Safety Department of Abu Dhabi Police, stressed the significance of the media campaign, 'Wrong Parking Delays You and Others', being organised by the Security Information Affairs Section of the Interior Minister's office.

Al Harthi said the Traffic Engineering and Road Safety Department had proposed privatisation of some of the parking lots.

The Department has also suggested constructing multi-storey parkings in areas where traffic snarls were more frequent.
